Description

Arlington Center Masjid is a central place of worship and a vibrant hub of community life for Muslims in Arlington, Texas. The Masjid serves as a space where believers gather to perform the five daily congregational prayers, strengthen their connection with Allah, and build bonds of unity, brotherhood, and sisterhood.

The Masjid operates under the Islamic Society of Arlington Texas (ISAT), which was established in 1983 by dedicated and visionary members of the local Muslim community. In its early years, regular prayers were held in a rented facility near the University of Texas at Arlington. Through years of collective effort and commitment, the community purchased the current location on South Center Street, and in Ramadan of 1989, the Masjid officially opened its doors to serve the growing Muslim population of Arlington.

Over time, the Masjid expanded to meet the evolving needs of the community, including the addition of facilities that now house the Islamic School of Arlington Texas. Arlington Center Masjid is also proud to operate a Qur’an School under the supervision of Shaikh Imam Masood Ahmed, offering structured Islamic education rooted in authentic knowledge.

The Evening Qur’an Program for beginners runs Monday through Friday and provides instruction in Qur’an recitation, Tajweed, Arabic, and Hadith. These programs are designed to nurture strong Islamic foundations for both children and adults in a supportive and spiritually enriching environment.

Arlington Center Masjid remains committed to serving not only as a place of prayer, but as a cornerstone of education, guidance, and community service—upholding Islamic values while contributing positively to the wider society.
